Question on naming SE and 2 part episodes??
#1
Hi all,

Still going through my library and I've come against a small problem, If I can explain the details:

Lets take Mary Poppins (1964) If I have the "40th Anniversary Edition" how would one name this edition for the library, as the only obvious version on imdb is the original from 1964.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058331/

Also I Recorded a two part program from a couple of years ago, which is really just one program split over two days as a christmas special. It was Treasure Island" Would I just give it the imdb number http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1820723 and let ember do the rest for me?

I was curious as to how xbmc would show and play a split episode which is in reality only one program.

ooops almost forgot, similar question to above but "Extras" would one place any extras into the same folder as the original movie?
As an example the extras from "Peter Kays, Phoenix Nights Series 1"

All of the above only concerns avi, mkv, mp4, that I have compressed.

Thanks chaps for any details / explanations....
all the best

Special editions you can use an NFO file (wiki) to specify the title you want to use. You can either create a complete NFO file or use a partial file which includes the imdb url and xbmc will scrape the info not included in the NFO.

Multi part videos should be named in one of the supported file stacking (wiki) formats.

For extra features I would recommend VideoExtras AddOn. Works very well with several different options for file placement and naming.
