Welcome to XBMC. As the FireTV becomes more popular I expect we'll see a lot more folks new to it in general.
Once you get XBMC installed on it by following the wiki documentation (which is quite detailed for this purpose) there's very little specific to the AFTV involved in setting it up. One of the great things about XBMC is that it's the same application across platforms - there are certain hardware/OS limitations that need to be overcome in some cases (or can't be overcome) but when it comes to the nuts and bolts of setting it up it's pretty much the same.
You'd be better served in the general help forum, which is where people expect those kinds of questions.
