Wanted to ask the same question but then for version 5.0.8.

I'm going to compile a fresh build here to see if it does but can take a while so any information if it's compatible or not is welcome

It seems to have passed the Kodi compile part. You do need to change patch.

Used/compiled this a lot on Eden but haven't had time yet to test this on Helix.
If there is any daredevil out there that would like to give this a try, use it at your own risk!
