lol, thanks, it'a really just a case of having worked with this exact IR receiver already, and also having previously fixed some issues with the MCE driver itself (which are now part of the mainline kernel), so having the domain experience to identify the issue quickly. If you had asked me any of this a year ago before I started hacking on the ChromeBox, I would have had zero clue on any of it.
