I am very very happy with the Chromebox from what ive seen in theese hours
mine defaults to gigabit, not sure why yours doesn't. BUt yes, trying to stream a 120Mbps file over a 100Mbps connection is likely to be problematic

As noted in the Wiki and OP, CTRL-L boots the ChromeBox in Legacy boot mode, ie OpenELEC/Ubuntu etc. CTRL-D boots ChromeOS in Developer mode
