Is this something anyone else has experienced or has a cause for? The only similar thing I've found when searching was someone whose Asus Chromebox was behaving similarly with a 1TB Seagate drive. Their theory was that it was a USB 3.0 issue and that using a USB 2.0 hub remedied the situation.
Has anyone got any thoughts on it? I'd ideally prefer to use USB 3.0, but if downgrading to USB 2.0 is going to fix it I'll guess I'll buy a USB 2.0 hub.
If anyone else experiences the same issue and comes across the post, just to let you know that using a cheap USB 2.0 hub has solved it for me. Weird, but at least it works.
