I know, it's because it's advertising that it supports 1080p at 120Hz, so that's what the Chromebox gives it, but then doesn't accept. You have to manually set it to 1080p60. The Chromebox doesn't support 2160p60 4:2:0 over HDMI 1.4a
You can go in via ssh and check the supported output resolutions, the current resolution, and set it manually via xrandr
