My router has a USB port as well, but it's pretty terrible to stream from my Zoom.
Matt, how do I upgrade the firmware? I thought it was all the same. It's what I initially started with when this thread started. Thanks for the reply on the OE chat as well..You're everywhere, dude!

**Side note, I did find a workaround... I plugged a USB hub into the hard drive and plugged that into the Chromebox. It works flawlessly. I just don't like the extra swag hanging off of it though.
boot any old Linux Live USB stick (Ubuntu 15.04 works fine; 15.10 has issues). open a terminal window. run the EZ Setup Script as per the instructions in the first post. Choose the option to install/update the coreboot firmware. Follow the prompts, when in doubt for a Y/N just hit enter to accept the default (the capital one). Choose power off option from script. Retry the HDD without the hub.
