Hey! Got it. Getting the ISO to transfer was a bit odd, but it worked. I ran into some snags, but as long as you follow the prompts, it's easy...OH, and make sure the wifi is connected once you hit Ubuntu.
Anyway, I updated the firmware, and the box is bypassed at startup like it should be, and it mounts without a bunch of mount/dismount notices. Well done! Thanks for all the help. This was driving me nuts!
