I am running a windows 7 ult pc with a core2 duo extreme and a amd r7 250 gpu
why might i be lagging?
i have tried changing every video setting xbmc has
also fooled around with the sound settings
and i know directx is working because i can run all my high end games based off of it

Is it the UI or the video playback lagging? If it is videos then mostly it is due to wrong audio settings. Post a debug log (wiki).

please dear sir check #3 because ITS THE UI ( user interface)
the whole thing lags like hell not just one part.
the mouse moves in slow motion plus (everything) ......
plus i ran this just fine on my old gpu
a hd 2400 pro no lag so tell me why it would lag on a better card?
I have the latest 14.4 drivers from amd on my pc with the r7 250
( IT DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE AUDIO)
I am sorry but i am getting quite angry with the same repetitive responses
im not trying to be rude. just very frustrated.

Have you checked the temperature of your system? Most modern processors do reduce their clockspeed when they get warm to try and cool themselves.

core 1 is at 28c and core 2 is at 29c the gpu is at 31c also the cpu is liquid cooled
its a gaming rig/media center i have speedfan on to check the temps

Try some older versions of the driver. Start with the one that came with the motherboard disk.
