Problem: When playing back video (mkv files from Blu-Rays), the picture is not smooth. You see pixalization and digital artifacts.
My setup consists of installing XBMC on a laptop computer (Sony Z2 series with external doc). The HDMI output of the Sony laptop goes into the HDMI input of an Oppo BDP-105. The HDMI output of the Oppo goes into an older 720p LG TV. The analog audio output of the Oppo goes directly to an external amplifier.
The audio works perfect. No stuttering at all. It's just the video portion. The video does look pretty good, but it sometimes shows pixelization, specially when the camera is moving around. I'm completely lost as to what all the video settings mean and do (interlacing, etc.)
Can someone provide any insight on how these should be set considering my set-up above? Any advice is appreciated!
