$KODI/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.youtube folder
$KODI/addons/plugin.video.youtube
restart kodi.
What that will essentially do is delete youtube from your system completely.
Then reinstall the plugin from https://github.com/Kolifanes/plugin.vide...e/releases
you should be gold at that point, if it still doesn't work go ahead and get the kodi.log file.

Just wanted to say thanks. I know this was meant to another person, but my YouTube addon refused to play Live streams and showed other odd symptoms. Doing this worked great for me, as Kodi refused to uninstall YT as other addons depend on it.
