I tried the same overclock (possibly/probably unstable for me) and the udev rule. Definitely faster:
It's interesting that your kernel loaded 1/2 second faster with those changes and mine was mostly unaffected.
I'm curious if you also have a car/van install and are trying to get the fastest boot or are just trying to optimize it as much as possible for inclusion in OE?
