Hello,

I've got a few DVD's that are homemade movies. They show up in Videos/Files but not in the Movie library.

I put an NFO file into the folder of one of the movies (each is in its own folder) named movie.nfo and while it shows the information in File mode it didn't cause the movie to show up in the library.

<year>2011</year>
<thumb>CroppedC.jpg</thumb>
<genre>HomeMovies</genre>

Clearly, I'm doing something wrong, and after reading the docs, I still can't find what it is.

Nothing like fiddling about to understand how things work... and this post... http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1299816

The post is somewhat out of date as I couldn't find all the exact things he noted... but the basic process is correct. I added the .nfo file into the movie folder, then in file mode, added poster art, then in library mode, did an update... home movie appeared.
