I can't see AceSTream setting port using the AceSTream engine inside the module.

This particular setting is stored on an encrypted file so I can't change it from the gui, you have to change it through the official application I'm affraid (and it only takes effect after you watch an acestream with the official app running).
Hi All,
Sorry to bump my post again but am really curious about what the cause of this is - I waited for the new update to test again but same issue exists.

So after heaps of playing around finally managed to get it working - I had to disable my proxy (socks5 in connections settings - have internet access works fine for everything else)

Looking through my log I keep getting errors such as:

19:44:01 T:140160737990400 ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Couldn't connect to server(7)
19:44:01 T:140160737990400 ERROR: CCurlFile::CReadState::Connect, didn't get any data from stream.
19:44:01 T:140160737990400 ERROR: Open - failed to open source <http://127.0.0.1:6878/content/8b75005ccce921f5bc2c9237d45b7f940f6fa481/0.783415270475>
19:44:01 T:140160737990400 ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [http://127.0.0.1:6878/content/8b75005ccc...3415270475]

Its connecting to peers / downloading - everything looks good but it wont start the video over my proxy...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advanced.

Thanks again
The addon is sending to the player the url it gets from the engine (which is that one you have in the log). Probably if you are behind a socks5 proxy the ip in where the stream exists is different...If that's the case, I don't remember if I have any way to add a costum ip address to it.
I don't have a proxy to test. So, my suggestion for you to trace the issue:

1) edit acecore.py in resources/core/ and replace the player.play() line with a "print of the stream url" to the log file and a xbmc sleep with an high value ( xbmc.sleep(1000000) )

2) grab that url and try to play them in vlc. It will most likely fail so, try to replace the ip address with your proxy's
Hi mate the Russians are at it again lol New engines for android(ARM v7 & x86 2.3.1) and x64 Linux is updated to 3.0.0-b2 .I got the link for Linux from the usual place and found the android updates on their forum here --> http://forum.torrentstream.org/index.php?topic=1840.30

Everything working great for me on Linux & windows BIG respect and thanks as always Smile

Cheers

No updates for windows stable or alpha.

mygica box running android am I right? Or a linux alternative firmware?
So you recommend using android as more stable because I'm using Linux at the moment
Linux is more stable than android for anything really but...this addon is using a "hacked" version (basically a really old version of the acestreamengine) in linux arm. They don't support linux arm (or mac) on their website. Only android, linux (i686/x64) and android.

So basically you're running AceEngine 2.0.8 in linux arm. If you run android on the box you'll be running AceEngine 2.3.1. Hence quicker and much more stable. Also you'd get a lot of beneficts as for example...being able to use an external player developed by them as well instead of xbmc player.
v1.0.9 (19/9/2014)
-Updated linux x64 Acestreamengine to version 3.0.0-b2
-Updated Openelec x64 Acestreamengine to version 3.0.0-b2
-Updated Android internal Acestreamengine to version 2.3.1
-Updated Android Apks in repository to match latest version of the engine and player
-Added support for android x86 (Acestream only)
What port do we need to allow on our firewall now?
V.1.1.0 (20/09/2014)
-Fixed acestreamengine window for other xbmc skins (rather than confluence)
addon works great on 13.2 Android. acstream engine works great with force kill. Any chance we can fet same option of force kill with sopcast?
Once in a while, I get kick out of tpa stream while sopcast still,runs back ground.
thanks
hi there - i did a fresh install from your repo, confirmed i have v1.1.0, but when going to advanced settings, all i see are the old XBMC.Advancedsettings.xml and Import recommended advancedsettings.xml as the only options and not all the other settings. any reason why? I did confirm on the changelog it is updated today. I'm running openelec v4.07
