Release P2P-Streams - SopCast and AceStream for Kodi
(2014-10-23, 17:29)rimram31 Wrote: Not sure you can solve the issue I have. Searching for "undefined symbol: _PyTrash_thread_deposit_object" errors using google, this may be related to an old ubuntu/python version. Problem solved in new version ...

Unfortunately, my 12.04 ubuntu version has no more support, I'm unable to make any update. I was no more able to update manually python as without updates, I cannot solve dependencies ...

I've no more time to lose today ... I hate ubuntu for this reason!!! simple problems and hours losts ...

Remove the blist python .egg from $HOME/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.p2p-streams/acestream/lib

It should run fine after that.

Yes working !!!! and really fine.

Thanks a lot.

but acestream's log (not xbmc log) is enough for me. And I can't find it. What is "default" command string for the acestreamengine which is used in p2p ? May be there is sense to add the start option for log file - -log-file PATH ?

I assume this is a x64 machine?

Report back the outup but I guess you're missing the pkg_resources python module. Linux environment is quite a mess with so many differences from distro to distro.

default path to xbmc log is
Code:
$HOME/.xbmc/userdata/temp/xbmc.log
crashlogs are stored in
Code:
$HOME
.
yes, I have installed pkg_resources python module from debian repo and that error disappeared. But with previous alpha ace version that module was not need.

No, my machine is x32. Have you seen my log with non succesful attempt of start local torrent file ?

The addon (or the acestreamengine doesn't behave really well with torrents). There are better solutions like xbmctorrent or pulsar for that content.
It is really slow (and the number of seeds/peers is also low) to stream torrents. Keep it for live content.
Being a x86 machine the fact you're getting this error is strange as the module is still the same as the previous version (and is included in the package).

yes, I know very well that patch and I didn't find in that log anything wrong, that's why I asked about asestreamgine's log itself and I have uploaded xbmc.log (several posts early) on pastebin for you to have a look why I have problem with local torrent file

yes, I know. But because I have the same problem and with live streams (message for all time - "Avaiting response") I reported about that issue.

ok, let's forget about issue with local torrent file and to concentrate on the web-parsers & ace. Here is the xbmc.log where I agian have the message "Avaiting response"

here is xbmc.log

sorry, which error do you mean - that one ?

Code:
ImportError: No module named pkg_resources

Am I writting chinese or something? The log won't show any error (and won't help) unless there are script errors. Do you get a script error? I assume you don't so...no need o post logs. In this case the debug option in the addon is just to print the commands the engine + plugin are sharing to the log. And...it's doing its job by analyzing your log file.

Do the following:

1) Outside of xbmc, start the acetreamengine using the command I mentioned some posts above (this is single line) in the terminal:

Code:
$HOME/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.p2p-streams/acestream/acestreamengine --client-console --lib-path $HOME/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.p2p-streams/acestream

2) start xbmc and try to reproduce an acestream while the process is running on the terminal

3) Look at your terminal window and past the results here or to pastebin

Some notes:

1) If there is an error with the package you won't be able to connect
2) Make sure port 8621 is forwarded unless chances of getting connected to peers are low
3) I'm installing a debian vbox for debugging

do you think error with acestream.upnp can impact on that issue ?

Edit
PS

i enabled upnp service on my router, that error disappeared, but I still couldn't see any local torrent file and any acestream live stream.
Port 8621 is open (checked on portscan.ru)

I am runnjng Openelec on mx2 and I get the same error message after downloading latest p2p addon. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Unless they stream with backwards compatibility the addon (ACESTREAMS) won't work anymore on linux arm or osx.
So, no need to come here in a raw.

Not quite sure what that means, but thanks anyway.
