can you test the speed with smaller LUTs? If you're building from source, using lcms2 and a display profile allows you to change the LUT size from the OSD. Smaller resolution madVR 3DLUTs should work too.

I'm considering reinvestigating my original approach - using input curves, CLUT and output curves from the device link.

I should have some free time in the next few days to generate some smaller LUTs to try. How important is Vram? I just realized my N3150 box does not have to ability to set the amount of shared Vram unlike my 4200U box.

I can't seem to create a madVR 3Dlut other than the 64x64 default using DisplayCal. Are there any other 3Dlut formats that are supported?

Are you looking at the 3D LUT size or the profile CLUT size?

I just checked with DisplayCAL 3.1.6 and if you choose madVR format, it disables the 3D LUT size setting.

I was talking about the 3Dlut size. I also tried making an new 3Dlut using fewer patches but it made no difference.

first of all, many thanks for bringing this great functionality on Kodi!
I was eager to test it, so I downloaded the latest beta on my Mac and it works.
then I installed the beta also on my AndroidTV and it doesn't show up, neither in the settings nor in the popup menu while playing the video.
is there any way I can try it on AndroidTV?

and also, what will be the supported LUTs formats in the end? just the madVR ones or also a broader range of formats?

Pardon my ignorance. Which version of the latest beta include this great functionality? I downloaded the windows version and it doesn't seem to be there. I've been using Kodi DSplayer for the last couple of years and I'm eager to move out of that because it is not supported anymore...

Is it supposed to work on nvidia gpu? I tried the last build of libreelec on my htpc and the 3dlut has no effect (checked with colorHCFR).

I don't believe this is supported on Android. AFAIK it is only supported on Linux at the moment.

where can I find more informations?
is it a limitations of ALL android boxes? or just Android based smart TVs?
