Problem with web streaming (NSV)
#1
Question
I use a streaming site (kingmedia.tv) for watching live sports. Normally I play the streams in VLC on my macbook but I've been trying to get the streaming working on XBMC but I'm having trouble . The stream URL is in the following format:

http://username:[email protected]:9090/tv1.nsv

VLC reports the video codec as "H264 - MPEG4 AVC (part 10) (H264)" and audio codec as "MPEG AAC audio (mp4a) so XBMC should be able to handle it

I followed the instructions in the wiki for creating an strm file for internet streams but when I play this file I just get a few seconds of audio but no video.

Here is my log file of when I try to play the strm file:

http://pastebin.com/3R16tB1i

It looks like XBMC doesn't recognise the codec:

22:15:33 T:1400 DEBUG: ffmpeg[578]: [nsv] Could not find codec parameters for stream 0 (Video: none (H264 / 0x34363248), 1280x720): unknown codec

Any idea why this might be the case and what I can do to fix the problem? Is it likely that the site is sending out the video stream with some missing info which is confusing XBMC or is there something else I can try at my end?

Thanks in advance for any help.
