I have a TP Link TL-WN725N and an Edimax Nano (can't remember the model) which both work out of the box.

I benefit that the TP Link has over the Edimax is that the LED doesn't light the room up like a Christmas tree, trivial I know but I use my Rpi in my bedroom and i woken up in the middle of night thinking that I'm about to be abducted by aliens!
