On my laptop with an ATI card hd3700, I have always had problems with XBMC when launching videos: either I had to try several times to no longer have the black screen, or I got systematically the famous "XBMC has stopped working" and I had to reboot and try again repeatedly (or use plex which read without error).
I posted several messages on the forums but never received a satisfactory answer on this issue. Until one day I found a version of XBMC recompiled with a correction in the DirectX Module for my type of error :
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1662277
With this release, all my problems were gone: I never had an error anymore when launching a video.
And rendering uses dxva.
Unfortunately, the 13.2 version does not contain this fix DirectX and I find myself again and again with problems reading videos.
So I reinstall my version 13.1 corrected for dxva until this correction actually appears in the official version.
