You get that option only for non FAT32 formatted drives. I was testing with a FAT32 USB drive. Also, if the the drive is not FAT32, it doesn't show up any where in Kodi. So, nothing is fixed. Hopefully after format as removable storage it will show up in Kodi. Please give us an update.
really shouldn't be this difficult. still trying this partition trick, why a 2tb drive causes bootloops i dont' know
yep, it shows up in Kodi. I am all set now i think. just had to do that partition trick for having such a big drive. i think with that partition trick you just need 2 partitions for some reason cause i made my main one almost the full 2TB and it still works.
now i just need to re-copy all of my movies over to this external drive and i think i'll be in business. i already copied one just to make sure it would work before doing everything and it showed up in kodi and played flawlessly.
now to copy my 100 or so Sesame Street dvd's and kids movies for my niece and get this up and running tomorrow!
