Thanks wesk05. My TV is not (yet) professionally calibrated but I don't think it matters (much) for clean ramp. I looked for other settings (I know it's not optimal) and adjusted myself for AVS709 and w6rz patterns (especially for black/white clipping). Gray ramp looked absolutely ok but color ramp for your test looks like is not dithered (like examples from SM). I looked for another color ramp (to eliminate the very small posibility that the ramp is altered by recoding) but I don't found any rec.709 color ramp free (steps are many). Strange but vertical ramps are much cleaner. Even your pictures from bluray-player hasn't butter-smooth ramps like SM.
1-4 tests are very hard to interpret, even pictures from SM site looked very much the same, only the circles are easy to interpret.
Strange, but unlike many posters Chroma Range is almost good with TV player, the squares are very, very hard to spot (especially green) but they are.
I will repeat the test for Q5 with different cable directly in TV (now is in a Yamaha HTR-4066 receiver) and in different HDMI to elliminate other source of errors but RGB clipping is very visible.

Is there anyway to put this box in standby mode, instead of turning it off all the time. It takes quite long to reboot.

Thanks.
I have installed an external hard drive to my dlink router. I am able to access this drive remotely from my other computers. Can I access this external drive through Himedia Q5 to play movies stored on this drive. If so how would I set it up.

Woke up to my dog obliterating my Q5 remote this morning. Can anybody recommend a compatible remote that works well?
Cheers!

I use the Inteset 422 4-in-1 universal remote though you'll have to code in each key individually. But it works really great!

Has anyone encountered vertical bars on both edges in some scenes while watching a 3d movie through external hard drive on Himedia Q5?
Any help would be appreciated
