I've been trying to set up my ArchPi with Kodi. Then I try the siig vista MCE remote out of the box and it works. Yay. So now I go to add sources and discover that the keyboard navigation works but no text entry. I then go find the page here that says to add a udev rule for tty and set it to 0666. Log back in and boom I got key board typing but no mceusb. So then I go and remove the udev rule and restart pi. Login and still no remote. I'm at a loss because google doesn't come up with anything consisting of both issues

edit I had to edit the service to add a symlink to /dev/lircd
