I used to be able to stream from my pc to my xbox now i cannot seem to connect to the pc.I can ftp to the xbox from the pc with no problem and i can also get the rss feeds and the weather with no problem.

yeah, you didn't set up your samba shares correctly probably. that doesn't look like a debug log to me

When you say set up the samba share where do i start to do that?

yeah I'm having the same problem. Got my xbox hooked up, shares and internet worked great every time, but now for some reason my shares don't want to work. I have to restart my computer and disable\reenable file sharing, and then restart my xbox a few times before I can access my videos. It still gets internet just fine.

Sometimes I'll even be in my share folder, playing movies just fine, then back out and try to get back in and it will give me the same error message.

The only change I can think of is that my sharing folder has gotten significantly larger since I first started this, are there any issues with that? I tried sharing a smaller folder instead but it still didn't work, so I dunno.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you continue to have problems with SMB, you can always try one of the other options, such as XBMS. You can find all supported file sharing methods here:

Problem Solved!

OK, I figured it out. Basically eventually I realized that the reason why it seemed to only work after restarting is because I wasn't launching MSN Messenger. So, I finally figured out the problem; if you have the option on MSN Messenger Live under sharing folder set to "Use sharing folders instead of sending one file at a time", it will cause an error when you try to access sharing through XBMC.

This also explains why it worked fine and then just suddenly quit... I must have just recently enabled that option.
