I'm new to Kodi (Plex transplant) and in scanning my movie library (and I fear doing my TV library because this problem will be far worse) it's not listing the "unmatched" movies. These are movies that maybe the title wasn't exactly correct to match on or something like that. In Plex if it couldn't find the movie in TheMovieDB it would still show the movie in the list but it just wouldn't have the artwork or details (I could then fix it later by either renaming the movie or using the Plex interface to "fix incorrect match"). Is there some setting I'm missing where it will only show matched items? I've gone through the config a dozen times looking for something but maybe I'm just overlooking the obvious.

2 things:

1) you should still be able to see/play the unmatched movies via Videos-> Files.
2) The Missing Movie Scanner will be able to tell you what movies haven't been able to scrape properly due to naming issues.
