NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box)

I noticed that since the nightly build kodi-20151023-9a517d9-master-armeabi-v7a.apk Kodi lost the 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), only it allows full HD (1920 x 1080).

It is very noticeable degradation of the resolution in the Kodi interface. (see "video calibration").

That's completely ridiculous that you can even see this degradation. Check your eyes. The GUI was previously up-scaled by Kodi to 4K from the original 1080 or even 720 in which the skin was made. Now the GUI is 1080p and is up-scaled by the hardware to whatever your TV is doing. Just because you see 1920 x 1080 you now think it's crap.

Video will remain to be played at whatever resolution it is provided in up to 4K
This change is intentional.
