My concern is them intentionally refusing to update the older version to force you to get the newer hardware.
Why Kit Kat (Android 4.4.x)? The new one will have Nougat (android 7.x) and the old one has already Marshmallow (Android 6.x) and will be updated to the same version as the old one, with the same features (Amazon Video 4K HDR and Google Assistant Voice Control) as far as I read it today. The new Android Update for old Shield is supposed to come end of january. I hope all the info I read today regarding this, is correct.

Lol because Im a tard and wasnt thinking. For some reason when I wrote that I was thinking Kit Kat was the newest version. What I meant is, im leaning towards the old (as long as the price for used drops) as long as it gets the current OS updates.
