Linux Moving the directory - keeping everything else
#1
Hello everyone,

I've created a new account for Kodi (kodiuser) and want to keep everything KODI saved so far, for example

- I've manually changed the movie information, if it didn't load correctly
- Mark watched movies
- Settings
- etc

I want to keep those things. So far I've just copied the .kodi folder to the new user and it works.
But how can I move my files to the new user folder (/home/kodiuser from /home/<Username>) and keep all those things mentioned?

Is there some kind of path i have to edit in my config files?
Already tried to edit the patch to the media, but then everything is duplicated, marked as unwatched and some i would have to change
some information manually....

The path to the media is stored in the library. You could export your library as one xml file, search and replace the new path and then import the changed xml file.
