Windows Defender says Mediafire download 17.5 DS contains a trojan. Is this a false positive?

I have both Windows Defender and MalwareBytes running, and it downloaded and installed with no problems. (Windows 10 64 bit)

It seems to be related to the windows fall update (it happens also with the old dsplayer build after the windows update), only the first time madvr swtich to d3d11, after that it always fallback to windowed d3d9, using madvr display mode instead of kodi switching fix the issue

I'm also able to reproduce this with mpc, but the steps are too complicate to replicate

maybe madshi could explain better this behavior providing a madvr.log while madvr is in debug mode and fail to enter in d3d11 presentation mode

I'm getting the same warning, running the Creators update, it says the Kodi-Dsplayer installer contains Trojan:Win32/Azden.B!cl which defender describes as a severe threat. The download came from the link on the first page of this forum.

However, I've scanned it with Malwarebytes (latest version) and with Windows Defender on a system without the Creators update installed and both are happy with it.

guys this is really going to sound like a newbie question and I am really sorry in advance ...

1 - Do I need to do a fresh install over the official KODI 17.4 version or can I just upgrade, overwrite..?

2 - Once installed do I need to go into settings to setup anything or is it all set to the best renderers etc? I mean i.e do I need to go into setup madVR settings etc etc or is it already done for us? Many thanks.

Yeah, same here - 17.4 (x64) is rock solid on my set up, which is shame as I like to be on the latest releases.

Just a question when i launch a 4k hdr movie my tv goes in hdr mode and everything plays fine but when the movie ends and i go back to kodi, hdr is still activated !! 

Only when i quit kodi hdr is  deactivated.

Anyone has this problem ?

I might try the new version to see if it fixes the "videos sometimes don't play for no apparent reason, even though Kodi says they are playing" bug.

Turns out that this bug is probably fixed, at least I haven't seen it in a dozen attempts to start playing files. Unfortunately, the "madVR sometimes detects the wrong composition rate" bug still exists, I really don't know what causes that and it only seems to happen if I first play say a 23.976p file followed by a 50i file. Might be a GPU driver issue? :/

There is a bug in DSPlayer which breaks PVR.

I have 2 network cards (192.168.1.10 and 192.168.2.10) in my server on which the MediaPortal TV Server is running.
The PVR Plugin inside of Kodi is properly configured to contact the MP TV Server on 192.168.1.10 and access the tsbuffer files from the share. This works nicely.

However when the DSPlayer is enabled, then Kodi tries to play the RTSP stream instead of playing the tsbuffer files, even worse it tries to use the wrong IP address.

Hey guys, I am new to DSPlayer.. Can I please confirm a couple of things please:

1 - I am unable to please a .bdmv or .iso bluray file can someone please assist with this.

2 - I have an ATI card in my HTPC, am I right in saying my card needs to be set at 0-255 FULL RGB 4.4.4 and my projector also needs to be set to FULL RGB as I don't really want any unnessecary conversions going on..

Generally you want your GPU and madVR on full to avoid unnecessary conversions.
