Using the internal filters it would not do hardware decoding, I had to use the external filters. Is there a way to add the external filters and just have them work for everything? I first added the splitter/source/audio/video decoder external and it wouldnt do anything, I'm sure I was missing something there.
I don't believe that the internal filters (0.68) will not allow hardware acceleration. It has worked for hundreds of other users including myself. This must be a set up issue.
You can use external filters. Follow the example in the guide. You need to add each filter in Filters Configuration and then assign these filters to content using Media Rules. Select Media rules and Filters configuration to open access to these menus.
Try these files: DSPlayer Starter Kit.
Install them into the Kodi userdata folder in the folder labelled "dsplayer."
Personally, I would investigate why the internal filters are not working correctly. This would save the hassle of installing identical copies of the same filters.
