I can not post a link to a file that plays smoothly, because I'm not taking the time to chop a file up so i can. but I have an intel 4790k and an rx480 gpu. madvr has nothing to do with any of it. it's all the filters before it.
i will say they are 23.964 (whatever it is) files and not 60 frames per second files, but i have not run into any of them for the movies and tv shows I watch. I also have an nvidia 970 which can also handle it, but I don't like to since it's not native decoding and takes away from the processing power I could use for madvr.
You have to put the checkmark into CUVID on lavfilters video filter to get it to hardware decode HEVC. (but cuvid is not recommended for decoding anymore. as it uses more resources on the video card. But it CAN do it.
So in KODI under settings, video, DSPlayer, click on - Video decoder and then Hardware decoder to use, and you can change it to NVIDIA CUVID. But you will probably notice you will need to lower your madvr scaling and other settings to lighter algorithms.
