whats the minimal gpu i need to install in order to be able to take advantage of madvr settings? i am assuming dsplayer is still active?

Thats depends on a lot of things to be honest, not just your target resolution. The more you tweak MADVR the more pressure it puts on your GPU / CPU. I'm using a AMD RX 480 and it starts to struggle when using high quality dithering and upscaling.

For most basic MADVR needs, if all your content is at last 1080p and doesnt require upscaling then even the most basic 1080 GPU will do. If you want to 4k then your minimum GPU is an RX480.

For me AMD are better for HTPC video playback but this can be subjective.
