I use a GTX 950 with Windows 1064bit as OS. I have tried HW, software, copy back native and copy back and also cuda. The crash is always in the module lavvideo.ax. No matter which version of lav i use. The crash only happens with madVR as render. With EVR no crash. So maybe it's not the fault of DSPlayer but i don't really know.
I have tried with many test files found in the kodi wiki. 4k h264 runs fine but 4k HEVC always crashes Kodi. Maybe you can test this file http://jell.yfish.us/media/jellyfish-120...-10bit.mkv
With DSPlayer 16.1 the file is playing but with distortions. With all DSPlayer 17 versions i always get a crash. I love the DSPlayer but 4k becomes more important for me maybe i need to find another solution.
As i need madVR to use my 3dLut the EVR is no alternative.
Hmm, not sure what to say then, apart from I am on win 8.1 x64 with a GTX 980 TI and a 4k HDR display.

Win 10 is well known for issues.
