Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows
(2017-02-14, 01:57)SALAMINOMACHOS Wrote: I know it is off-topic but i need your help
After long time using DsPlayer Jarvis 16.1 , i tried to run Krypton 17 , four days ago
But i am surprised because using XBMC and Kodi many years , now i see for first time that the video player is not working properly
When video plays , it stutters , it jumps ( i do not know if i write the correct words to express my problem because English is not my native language)
I am trying also to run the Jarvis 16.1 just overwritting the Krypton with not the use of the DsPlayer , but nothing

With letter ( O ) , it writes in the Video Stream that the Hardware decoding is Inactive
Is this the problem?
If Yes , how can i make it active?

Also i see that the mouse is not working properly and smooth like before
For your info , i am not using and Video Add-ons

Thanks for your attention

Hardware decoding is set in LAV Video, the internal video decoder. This probably isn't the issue, but I'm not sure what it could be.

And you say Jarvis isn't working anymore? I would go back to Jarvis because it is stable.

when i am trying to run Jarvis 16.1 , with no use of DsPlayer , then i see that the Menu bar ( Movies-Tvshows etc) is missing
Looks like it needs a format and a fresh install

You should make a backup copy of the Kodi folder in the future before upgrading.

Just for your info , i reinstalled Jarvis 16.1 DsPlayer with no format and it plays like before
Very smooth
I installed MadVr 90.16
The only problem i face now is that i can not open any Lav filter
It shows me all the Lav filters in the tray icon but i can not open them

I created 3 differents merits:
one with complete name file with extentension (kodi intro.avi) = not working
one with video codec avi = not working
one with video codec mov = not working
Every time dsplayer run the videos

Please help i don't understand what i am missing.

Thanks.
I confirm this problem. I created merit with hevc codec. The first time the movie was playing without a problem, in second time dsplayer run these file. The third time, I got a black screen when I try to close the file.
I created merit with resolution 480/576 - no problem, but sometimes black screen, when I try to close... I've added a new screen resolution - 2160, and I got 480/576 without problems, but 2160.... RrrrrrHuh

My system based on AsRock J4205 (Apollo Lake), Kodi dsplayer 17.0.1

You can access it from DSPlayer settings, including by remote.

Yes, I did. I will try to do so. But what about black screens?

Ok. I've done it. The result has become even worse. Merit 2160 and hevc = dsplayer always. When I select manually a Player for the file I see in the following picture - instead of 2 Player now there 3 Player (dsplayer on top, videoplayer and videoplayer 1) Maybe you prompt solution How to write code?

Here is my last build. I'm using videoplayer merits for the intro.mov video file.

Edit my code with your setup :

Code:
<playercorefactory>
  <players>

    <player name="VideoPlayer" audio="false" video="true" />

  </players>
    <rules action="prepend">
        <rule name="relou" filetypes="mov" player="VideoPlayer" />
    </rules>
</playercorefactory>

I also have 3 players, don't pay attention to this.

At first when i start to use VideoPlayer merits i had a lot of bugs too, black screen, freeze(had to reboot pc manually, it was awfull)...
All Solved since kodi always keep 60p framerate. for me it was a framerate issue.

Those settings are different from the HOW TO - Configure Kodi DSPlayer tutorial, but they are working great for my build. MadVR force the exclusive fulscreen mode anyway.

Quick question, I was watching the Mars miniseries the other night and noticed that it was skipping really badly with DSPlayer but would play perfectly with VideoPlayer. Madvr stats said it was taking 130+ms to render a frame. Its a 1080p Web-DL x264 video and other videos of the same nature played just fine. Does anyone know a utility that will be able to tell me the difference between this video file and other of similar nature? Something like bitrate, codec, etc, framerate, etc.
