I just recently switched from base Kodi to DSPlayer, and I have one weird issue that's bugging me. I'm not sure if there is any way to fix it.
The issue is related to the RGB levels that my display supports. It only supports the limited range of 16-235. I have my GPU set to unlimited, and I let Kodi limit the color range. If I have my GPU limit the range instead, I get horrible banding in dark scenes.
Anyway, in standard Kodi, all that I need to do is toggle the display setting for limited color range, and everything's fine.
In DSPlayer, I need to toggle that same base Kodi setting to get my OSD and home screen to look right AND set madVR to limit the color range for the actual video playback.
This works fine, expect that every time I bring up the OSD while playing a video, the image gets double brightened and is super bright until the OSD disappears again. It's not the biggest issue in the world, but it is annoying. Is there any way around this problem?
Thanks!
