basic instructions:
1. create a folder call KODI_DS or something like that, somewhere, anywhere.
2. Install it here,
3.Once installed dont start it yet, go into the folder and right click KODI.exe and create a shortcut to it.
4. Rename the Shortcut KODI_DS
5.Right click on the shortcut and go into properties, add -p onto the target - i.e, c:\KODI_DS.exe -p
6. Drop the shortcut on your desktop.
You can now load and use it without it affecting your current install as all the user data will be stored locally in the folder rather than appdata or your windows profile. It works in exactly the same way, its no more stable or less so.
I do all mine like this now as to back it up and just create a copy of the folder, no messing, I often create a copy and update that to test it before doing my main folder.
Portable just works, no idea why everyone doesnt use it tbo
Thanks for the proposal but i need to update so that i dont start setting it from scratch...
I have no need of 2 different programs
Question still stands.
