so MPC-BE does envoke your TV's HDR preset then automatically?

by the way, the 64 bit version is buggy anyway, try and stick to 32 bit path throughout.

not tried that yet but i doubt the av amp will pass it as its not hdcp 2.2. its not triggering the HDR when playing demo clips such as eye of storm, wonderland or rays of light. the demos do look stunning though.

i fiddled with the 4k passthrough last night so not had a chance to test HDR content. the result with configuring the amp 4k passthrough was a revelation it terms of PQ. so it might have been that all along.

plans for tonight. plug HTPC direct into tv to test HDR playback. plug usb into tv to test demo clips to see if it triggers HDR playback.

add madvr and for HDR passthrough and test HTPC again via tv and amp.

if HDR triggers without the amp then its new amp time... lol
