and now I have nad to reinstall my OS and now I can't get audio out of kodi when I play videos. I don't know what I've done to make this happen. I'm getting audio out of everything else. I save all of my settings from appdata and put them back when I reinstall programs so it should just be what it was before reinstall. I don't know wht the problem is.

 You probably have to reselect your audio device in both Kodi and DSPlayer. If that doesn't work, try selecting a different audio device, play something and then switch back. You also have to rerun the Windows sound configuration wizard after a driver reinstall.

For your audio issue related to 2.1 output, did you only select the formats your display supports in LAV Audio? If you already tried that, you could experiment with the "Enable Mixing" feature in LAV Audio under the "Mixing" tab and set the output to stereo.

There should be an update to HDR -> SDR shortly. It will improve the overall color accuracy, but issues with compression and a dark image with some displays will remain. I now understand this is related to the current tone mapping curve (BT.2390). Improvements with tone curves probably won't come for a couple of months.
