Is this still being developed? Has anyone had luck with 3d mvc using madvr with this?

No, no longer being developed. Many have had success with 3D with fullscreen exclusive mode. Most of the issues have had to do with switching to 1080p24 and back to 2160p60. Sometimes the switch to a 4K desktop has resulted in issues with Kodi being minimized or an incorrect resolution being chosen.

I just tried it, it took a little figuring out, but 3d finally worked and the 3d subs worked as well. The only thing I'm not crazy about is I can't stretch the screen vertically for 2.35:1 movies like i can with MPC-BE. But I set it to stretch 4:3 and then zoomed it in and that appeared to work fine so I can live with that.
My major issues is that isn't being developed anymore so it seems like switching might be a waste and is there anyplace that has a good writeup on how to use the external filters so I can always be up to date? I fiddled for a bit and gave up trying to get it to use the external filters.

Try using the file provided in the first section of the DSPlayer guide referencing Internet streams. It is a matter of selecting the right protocols in DSPlayer and creating VideoPlayer merits rules.

Warner306 I would like to thank you for all the support you gave in this project and your guides. They helped me in these years. Thank you a lot! And thanks to the people that kept this alive until now.
My question is...what do I do now? I mean I have one main HTPC with Kodi DSPlayer on configured with madvr but also other miniPC running kodi in other rooms which just...run kodi. I am looking forward the new kodi release also because it should convert HDR to SDR which is something I need to be done for the two miniPC since the TVs they're linked to are not HDR compatible, but they share the same database of the main HTPC which runs DSPlayer and it's connected to a 4K HDR TV. I cannot (and I do not want) to mix kodi versions otherwise there might be a problem with the shared nas data and I do not want run this as an external player otherwise I will miss some important features like play the movies in the point I left them and others.
So it's really it? Is it over? Or we keep this old version or there's no way out?

as I said in another thread I saw , really I don't see the usefulness in something that isn't being developed which frankly is a shame as this really is the way Kodi should be. If you watch 3d, there really isn't another choice. I should mention that I ran external player for years and it did keep the location of the movie at least for the movie I was watching. The main problem I had with external player was finding a remote that would work with both players. At this point I"m considering sticking it out with DSplayer and praying someone will come along and pick up development or maybe go to jriver media player.

its only really over when it stops working with MADVR or LAV, if either of these have a massive update which doesnt play nice with KODI DS then we're buggered, up until now you can just manually update LAV filters, KODI DS uses MADVR from installed folder anyway.
If this happens i'll simply go back to using KODI with an external player.
