Problem: When I play a movie file that has PCM 5.1 audio (MKV files ripped from Blu-ray discs that contain PCM audio), I get absolutely no sound and my A/V receiver only shows it is receiving a PCM 2.0 signal. All my other movies that are encoded with Dolby, DTS, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, Dolby Atmos, etc play sound perfectly. Any idea why PCM audio doesn't work What settings might I have set up wrong?Did you run the Windows sound settings wizard and configure it for surround sound output?
If it helps, here is my setup: I have Kodi DSPlayer on a Win10 machine with an 8th Gen i5 processor, a GTX1080 GPU, etc. The GPU's HDMI Out is connected to my Yamaha Avantage RX-A2070, which is then connected by HDMI to my 4K TV. All of my movies are ripped from my Blu-ray discs and UHD Blu-ray discs into MKV containers.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
