I would miss DSPlayer the most for Internet streaming video content. I watch 720p streams from YouTube, the CBC.ca add-on with its 171 shows and Twitch daily. I don't know how anyone could fail to see the difference between Pixel Shaders with Lanczos3 - Optimized versus madVR with NGU Sharp very high + SSIM 1D 100% downscaling. Even at a mere 720p -> 1080p, the latter is sharper and cleaner. The image is considerably cleaner with fewer artifacts.

I would like to use DSPlayer for streaming content but havent had much success with increasing the buffer, I have an advancedsettings.xml which increases my network buffer to 400MB (as I have 8G RAM). Videoplayer honors it and fills up the buffer to get smoothplayback, but DSPlayer only fills about 6seconds (720p) worth buffer and so stutters when playing highbitrate streams. Any tips or tricks to get DSPlayer use the configured buffer, please?  

 I just set up next pvr for kodi ds and it works to a certain extent BUT if you have timeshifting enabled, NPVR will not let go of that tuner.  So once I have viewed 3 channels I start to get no tuner found messages in kodi, and NPVR I just recording my previous channels in its live TV Buffer.  The somewhat generic answer I got in the next pvr kodi forums was that timeshifiting has issues for kodi builds before V18.  I would love to use it but right now I'm looking at media portal.  I'm also going to ping ServerWMC's dev to see if I can figure out some way to make that work with Kodi DS.  It seems like I just need to write the rules for the filtersconfig.xml and mediasconfig.xml but we'll see.

I looked at the various HD homerun addons, and both the simple hd homerun client, and the official hd homerun client work fine but I don't think they will have all of the features I'm looking for.
