Since setting up Dsplayer I really started to like the advantages that Kodi with internal player can offer, resume points shared between clients, subtitle search and adjustment etc. At this point going back to external player would be a pretty significant downgrade to the experience.

For me staying with Kodi 17.6 is not a problem, at least until the add-ons stop working. It's a real shame that no alternative seems to come close to same usability.

That we have to agree Kodi has the best user interface that I can think of. 

JRiver has Madvr support with libbluray 1.1.2 and flawless playback and it's the one that comes closer to be the best but the user interface 1996 iTunes like.. the theater mode that is terrible, the lack of downloading subtitles while movie is playing, if you want a menu that you can use your keyboard it will be very limited or your can right click the screen to show of a drop down menu like Windows Explorer.. 

The reason I want to fix the chapter bug within Kodi it's because it's amazing when it works, you can see all chapters in the timeline, you can skip using a mouse if you want, or pressing the arrow keys or pressing the OSD menu buttons. 
It's so many easy options that are far better than using the chapter menu in the bluray, you can have the best of both worlds if that would work. 

I have the OPPO 203 here that is considered one of the best players in the world but again I keep turning back to Kodi. 
The text interface, the lack of subtitle download.. makes it very dull. 

Hopefully we can have it all and I'm sure going to do my best for it, so we can have MadVR, paired with Kodi GUI and libbluray.
