Of course the dream would be to get a current version but everyone that has tried has given up, so it's probably not going to happen.

I wonder whether the fact that DSPlayer has pretty much kept on working flawlessly for all this time hasn't created a situation where real need for an updated version has been postponed.

Maybe if the situation makes it unusable a developer will rise to the challenge. One can always hope, I guess...
