I have a few videos that are YUV 4:4:4 and when I play them, all I get is a green screen with artifacting. VLC plays them just fine. Is there a solution?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I'm not familiar enough with YUV stuff to do a proper search.

Software:
Ubuntu 14.10
XBMC 13.1

Hardware:
Intel NUC BOXD54250WYKH1
Intel i5
Intel HD 5000 Graphics
16GB Ram

Never mind. I installed from XBMC from Ubuntu Software Center and assumed that it was the most up to date version. I just followed the installation instructions listed here and the files play fine now.
