Hi,
I recently picked up an HP Stream 8" with Windows 8.1. It's sole purpose in life is to run Kodi for my kids on long road trips. I downloaded the binaries from the kodi download page and it installed perfectly. Works great and I have it as a tile on the Metro UI. I locked the screen orientation to landscape, switched to the re-touched skin and everything is working well.
I noticed that Kodi is treated like a Desktop App. This is different then a Windows Store App. Being a desktop app allows it to run on other versions of Windows which is really just Windows 7 now.
Is there, or will there be, a version of Kodi for Windows 8? I'd like it to run as a Windows Store app which will keep it on the Metro UI screen and not jump to the desktop mode.
Regards.
