Optical SPDIF audio output is STRONGLY desired, I don't want to buy a new receiver.
What I want to know, is either of these Braswell NUCs are up to the task of deinterlacing Live TV.
I need a new box now (fan is failing on current box) and I was waiting on a skylake nuc and a new receiver. Since I don't have a 4K tv and no 4K content, could one of these be a good enough box?

They suggested that the fan was not replaceable with of the shelf parts.

I can use kodi, I just have to turn the unit off as I expect it would overheat if I left it on 24/7, it gets quite warm after a 2 hour movie or a TV series binge.
