Hey guys,
So I've seen quite a few issues that are similar, but there's so many I haven't been through them all... So I thought I'd first check here first incase this rings any bells with anyone
Basically, these is the problem I'm having in Kodi, but I don't seem to have them in the Netflix app:
- The sound cuts out for a split second 2-3 times per 30 minutes or so... Seems to be a lot less in Jarvis though.
- Looks like the video comes out of sync or something. Basically the video starts jumping/shaking like crazy. Then I re-select the input on the TV, and everything goes back to normal.
Again, I don't have these problems in the Netflix app for example. Although Netflix isn't using DTS etc, so not sure if that's where the problem is.
My setup is the below:
- nVidia Shield (3.0) Although it also did it in the previous version, connected via HDMI to my TV
- TV is a Sony KD-55X8507C in 4K 60 Mhz resolution. TV has an optical connection output to the AMP
- AMP is a Sony STR-DN840. Reason why the SHIELD isn't directly connected to the AMP is because it doesn't support HDCP 2.2, which means I wouldn't be able to use Netflix in 4k, even though 4k resolutions work
- Kodi has passthrough enabled. Dolby Digital and DTS all get passed through okay.
