But then neither is Science Fiction but it's listed in Kodi as a genre which completely conflicts why isn't Disaster?
Sci-Fi is the genre used by scrapers.
There is no instance of Science Fiction anywhere.
Along with Disaster, there used to be Sci-Fi AND Science Fiction genres in Kodi, each sorting different titles.
As far back as 'The Green Button' days these genres were present and functional.
Like you say disaster is not considered a genre, so nobody use to tag movies with disaster on tmdb.
If you look up star wars on tmdb you see its tagged with the science fiction genre. That's the reasons you get science fiction in kodi and no disaster. Its not a skin or kodi issue. If it's not present on the source (tmdb) it don't show up in kodi.
About the sci-fi and science fiction genre also a source issue, I was running into the double sci-fi genre also, after looking the movies up on tmdb, there where tagged with sci-fi as genre, so I changed it to science fiction. (before the fixed genre list) Reloaded the movie on the next day and sci-fi changed to science fiction.
Maby there was a disaster genre at tmdb before the changes
