Also didn't know about removing the <group /> element. Good to know - though it makes the option to make a playlist widget random I just added completely redundant now 
Yes, schimi2k - back up that folder to back up your menu settings, and the settings.xml from addon_data/skin.aeon.madnox for the rest of your settings.
