Good morning team,

Just to provide my test results, in case that they shed any light into what else could be done in Krypton:

First, I am using latest Krypton nightly (July 16th), latest MadNox Krypton branch from Mike S's GitHub and latest skin helper service and latest skinshortcuts (master branch from BigNoid's GitHub).

1. Start Kodi, wait for scripts to do their thing and weather to appear in info line, as well as library statistics. Go into Movies (I am using TriPanel view with banners). As you can see here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/im7hr27rczelka...9.png?dl=0

The top bar is missing textures/info.

2. Navigate through movie list, as you can see from the screenshot before, randomly a movie's banner will lose the background (in this case you can see it is "The Exterminating Angel"). Also, I am using colored mediaflags colored studios, etc., and you can see at the bottom right that the IMDb logo is superimposed with the numeric rating.

3. If I navigate back to the movie that had the missing background in the banner, as you can see here:

The background reappears. By the way, this happens in Jarvis too.

4. If I go into movie info, as others have mentioned, poster is gone as well as other info, as you can see here:

5. Reload the skin (using context menu on any movie), go back to video info and now everything is back, as you can see here:

Also, other movie's banner background text disappear, but if they have a logo the logo remains, as you can see here:

Also, as you can see from the screenshot above, reloading the skin resolves the issue with the mediaflags I mentioned before.

6. Go back to main menu, and now the focused option's icon and text have disappeared, as well as images on the widget, as you can see here:

The focused option there is TV Shows. One important point to make here is that it doesn't matter how many times you reload the skin after that, the focused main menu option icon and text do not reappear until you restart Kodi.

7. One last point i wanted to make is that at no time does the texture behind the context menu or the shutdown menu disappear, as you can see from these:

So I guess the colordiffuse work done has had its positive effects!

Colordiffuse was only ever going to help when using a VAR in a colordiffuse tag instead of a texture tag attribute. The missing top bar, breadcrumbs, and pretty much everything else mentioned is all VARs going empty related.

I think it is a Kodi bug after reaching either that property limit or some kind of issue increasing memory use in the skin and then dropping things randomly. It is 100% a VAR issue and seems to hit MadNox but not any other skin I have used.

Starting to think the only way to fix it is to do a major cleanup and combine views while using more includes and PARAMs to lessen the code.

@schimi I tried to package up the skin textures to an XBT file to test if that would help with anything but got a lot of warnings about many of the images can you take a look? I can provide the error message but will have to run texturepacker again because I forgot what it said
